Artist Reception and Exhibit: Messy Mythologies

Messy Myths

If you’re in the Greensboro area this Friday I’d love to see you. Stop by Fahrenheit Kollectiv to check out the exhibit, hear some cool music and enjoy the energy of Greensboro’s First Fridays (I hear tell of a BBQ festival just down the street Friday night, too.) It’s gonna be a good time.

Fahrenheit Kollectiv presents
Messy Mythologies: Prints on paper and fabrics
by Woodie Anderson
and musical selections from Ariel Gavan Holden and Mike Biggs

Please join us this Friday, September 7th from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m for an artist reception. Meet the artist, view the exhibit and enjoy good music and conversation.

The works of printmaker Woodie Anderson are featured this September at Fahrenheit Kollectiv. Woodie’s prints, mixed-media serigraphs, and three-dimensional fiber works have been described as focused, smart and playful. Often combining print-making, fiber-work and graphic elements with found objects, reclaimed fabrics, collage and stitching, her work explores the areas where cultural identity, gender, personal history and society intersect. Anderson’s current work explores her continuing interest in cultural and personal mythologies.
