gratitude – Cheering Up

A few things making me happy (as part of my life list  ongoing gratitude journal):

bathtime for Rizzo
Sometimes, when life seems like it just stinks, it helps to hang out with someone who feels the same way. Nobody really needs to say anything. You understand each other.

Bill Cunningham New York
Seeing a person who knows how to mix it up and own it - that cheers me, too.
after bathtime
A friend who can coax you into taking a nap when you really need one. Even it you're really busy. You'll feel better when you wake up.

A group of people willing to come together and stand up for something they believe in. Change takes people. Knowing people who want to make change makes me hopeful.
poppers
Bacon. Bacon makes me happy. Yes, it does.
Susan Faludi - Backlash
Reconnecting with an old book. Flipping through it, seeing all the highlighted sections and scribbled notes. Nodding your head up and down. Looking around to see if anyone saw you do that.
Curryblossom Cafe
Finding a new restaurant that surprises you in a good way. This one reminded me of a wonderful past trip to NYC and that, alone, was worth the bill.
Tune-Yards
Watch and listen to music, in real-time, while people play it, with a crowd of people who came to do the same thing. With a cold beer in your hand and a big smile on your face. Jump up and down if you want. Yell and hoot. Wish you knew how to whistle. Doesn't that feel good?
mask/poster prints
Checking something off your to-do list. Something that you are proud of. When something turns out well (not just done, but well done) it feels pretty good.
